Booming
Hayes operates many log dumps and booming ground facilities for customers at various locations throughout British Columbia. We have a fleet of well-maintained sidewinder boom boats as well as tug boats for these purposes. Our booming operations are run both independently and in conjunction with our Dryland Sort operations.
   We also operate one of the few independent Log Dump & Booming Grounds on the east side of southern Vancouver Island. Situated in Cowichan Bay, this well-protected facility is ideal for booming and log storage. The location provides deep sea access for barge and ship loading and allows for direct towing of booms to all points on eastern Vancouver Island and the mainland coast without the added expense of barging.
   Our preventative maintenance program helps to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
