Ground & High Lead Yarding
Hayes has extensive experience in high lead and ground based yarding in all terrains, timber types and yarding configurations. We have the equipment and skilled personnel to cost-effectively meet our customers’ diverse yarding needs.
Hayes operates 13 yarding sites. Our information systems and supervisors monitor our yarding operations on a daily basis to ensure high productivity and strict conformance with all permits, the Forest Practices Code and other regulatory requirements.

Our fleet includes:
• Madill 044 and 122 and Cypress 7280
   grapple yarders
• Madill 009 and 070 tower yarders
• Madill 3800 hoe chuckers
• Cat 235 back spars

Our custom Hayes Preventative Maintenance System monitors fleet maintenance daily, automatically generating and tracking maintenance work orders based on equipment utilization and fleet experience. On a daily basis, we track fleet availability and all operating and repair supplies including information on maintenance trends, tires, lines and rigging, attachments and fuel. As a result, our equipment is meticulously maintained with exceptional availability.
The Hayes Production Management Information System records and fully reconciles crew and equipment productivity to payroll and scale information for every job on a daily basis. This data allows for timely feedback to our customers, managers and operating crews. We regularly monitor our quality and production standards to meet customer objectives.
Hayes operators, landing and rigging crews have outstanding records and extensive experience working in Forest Practices compliant operations. Through our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Breakdowns, we carefully and clearly communicate Forest Practices, customer requirements, job safety and other standards to each crew member for each job. Every crew member signs off to evidence their understanding of the instructions for every job. Managers complete an SOP follow-up checklist at least weekly.
